Mrs. Philippines Globe 2016 is back and today luckily, 17 single mothers and married women are competing for the title. The event happened at Patriarch Event Hall in Patriarch Building, Bangkal Makati City last October 13, 2016.

The lucky candidates competing for the crown are:

1. Darlene Conde, Housewife from Muntinlupa City
2. Marjorie McMurchie, Professional Make-up Artist from Mandaluyong City
3. Brooke Irene Rose Cajita, Acting Postmaster from Lanao Del Norte
4. Niezal Cayangan, Photographer from Muntinlupa City
5. Madonna Caguioa Naval, Wedding Singer from Isabela
6. Maria Giselle Lyn Barrion, Human Resources Consultant from Quezon City
7. Maria Theresa Uhlmann, Entrepreneur from Bacolod City
8. Annalyn Marie Gayatin, Beauty Consultant from Bacolod City
9. Michelle Boyero, Branch Operations Officer from Bacolod City
10. Rasha Demonteverde, Flight Attendant from Bacolod City
11. Timikko Santos, Quality Assurance Engineer from Rizal
12. Genieve Uy, Customer Service Representative from Northern Samar

Contestants ranging from 25 to 55 years old from different fields of expertise like aviation, dermatology, banking, online business, human resource, business process outsourcing, events, beauty and engineering.

Aside from the Mrs. Philippines Globe title, they will also competing for the title for the Woman of Substance alongside other special awards like Best Talent of the Year, Achievement of the Year, Charity of Advocacy of the Year, Most Beautiful Face, Career Woman of the Year, Most Elegant Woman, Personality of the Year and Solane Mother of the Year. Another award added is the Mrs. Philippines Globe Classic 2018.

  • It’s true. The Philippines is a country where people do love beauty pageants. I used to watch because the girls are really nice… that was several decades ago, back when I was a teenager. And then as I started to realize how substance is more important, pageants did not appeal to me anymore. This one though is different. Here, we have contestants of varying ages and professions coming together to compete. I say that is empowering women, more than anything else.
