Teen Azkals Now Ready for Kanga Cup 2013 in Australia
The Teen Azkals are now ready to compete for the upcoming Kanga Cup to be held on Canberra, Australia from July 7 to July 12.
The Kanga Cup is the largest International Youth Football Tournament in the Southern Hemisphere that is held annually each July in Canberra, Australia.
The week long event proudly champions the mission of ‘Uniting the Youth of the World through Football’. The Kanga Cup is run by Capital Football, the governing body for football in Canberra. The tournament is sanctioned by the Football Federation Australia and the Asian Football Confederation.
The Kanga Cup had humble beginnings, starting in 1991 in Sydney before moving to its new home of Canberra in 1993. The inaugural Kanga Cup had just 35 teams participate, today as the Kanga Cup enters its 23rd year of operation with over 230 teams of 3700 participants from Australia and overseas meet in Canberra for a week of football, culture, fun and friendship like no other.
Previous participating teams of the Kanga Cup have hailed from Australia, United States of America, England, Denmark, Philippines, India, Indonesia, East Timor, Fiji, Italy, Russia, Georgia, South Africa, South Korea, Chinese Taipei, Malaysia, New Zealand and others.
Spotted in this conference is Mr. Alvin Caranza, Teen Azkals Team Manager; Assistant Team Manager Ramon Manuel and the Coaches of Teen Azkals Noel Marcaida, Marlon Maro and Glenn Hilig.
Also present in this event is Ms. Claire Yen and Azkals Player Mr. Chieffy Caligdog with the Coaches and Officials of Teen Azkals.
