Christmas Time and Manila Tour with EMBOA
EMBOA or Ermita-Malate Business Owners Association together with Municipality of Manila leaded by President-Mayor Joseph “Erap” Estrada presented this “Handog Pasasalamat” event or gift giving to the Barangays in Ermita-Manila.
EMBOA and the City of Manila wants to preserve the historical places in Ermita Malate as well as the tourist spots around here.
Spotted in the event are Ms. Flordeliza Villasenor- Chief Tourism Officer of the Manila Tourism and Cultural Affairs Bureau, Ms. Michelle Pe-Miramar Hotel Owner together with President-Mayor Joseph “Erap” Estrada. Photo on the left side with Ms. Juliet Villegas, Executive Director of EMBOA.
Performing in the event are the choirs and dancers from the members and schools of the South Manila Education Consortium (SMEC) – Ermita Parish School, Unibersidad De Manila, Emilio Aguinaldo College and Philippine Women’s University.
After the program, we visited some of the hotels in Ermita and our first stop is Mabini Pension located at A. Mabini St., Ermita Manila
Manila Pension is suit for travelers on the go with free Wi-Fi in the area and affordable foods to choose from. Accessible to the market, tourist spots and restaurants in the vicinity.
Our second destination is City Garden Suites just few blocks away from Manila Pension with full equipment from gym, swimming pool, restaurant and billiard hall. Daily rates range from Php 950 – up depends on room capacity and hotel availability.
Our third stop is The Lotus Garden Hotel; as one of the old hotels in Ermita where some of the decors are woods and some memorabilia from the past are still in the place. I love the ambiance here, hospitable staffs and even the rate is quite high – it’s worth it.
Our last stop is Ibarra that is famous not just about their foods but the venue itself that is suitable for weddings and birthdays. I wasn’t able to take a lot of photos here since there was a private event happening that time. The place is cozy, lots of ornaments in the area and staffs in the place are friendly and accommodating.
With this tour, I learned some of the hotels who are members of EMBOA and their objectives to preserved not just the heritage of Ermita and Manila but to promote tourism.
Thank you for reading and Happy Holidays everyone!
